Team principal Maurizio Arrivabene insists he will be staying at Ferrari following links to the position of general director at football team Juventus.
The Italian was one of nine people mentioned on a shortlist to replace the outgoing Guiseppe Marotta and with the Scuderia on course to fall short again of winning the championship, it was pondered if his time at Maranello could be coming to an end.
“I’m at Ferrari and my future will be at Ferrari,” Arrivabene declared on Thursday in Suzuka.
“I have been an exponent of the company’s Board of Directors for years and before taking up this position in Maranello, I had the delegation of control/risks.
“I am pleased to remain on the board, provided that the appointment is accepted at the next shareholders’ meeting and I am honoured, but my work remains here.”

This comes as long-time Ferrari partner Phillip Morris, where Arrivabene also formerly worked, rekindled their visual on the team’s livery with the launch of ‘Mission Winnow’ in Japan as they move away from their association with cigarettes and the Marlboro brand that was once so prevalent on the Prancing Horse.
