The Aston Martin era is finally underway after the team launched the AMR21 on Wednesday.
After plenty of speculation, the famous British Racing Green livery has returned but the pink has not totally gone with a few nice details on the front wing and the chassis.
On the track, the big story is the arrival of Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari alongside Lance Stroll.
The four-time world champion struggled during his final year at the Scuderia, scoring the lowest points total for a full season of his F1 career.
But Vettel joins a team though very much on the rise after Racing Point, as they were then known, jumped up to fourth in the Constructors’ standings, narrowly missing out on third to McLaren.
The main reason for that was their car, which was essentially a clone of the 2019 Mercedes and certainly upset their rivals who protested it vigorously early in the year.
But with that controversy behind them and the new regulations delayed until 2022, Aston now gets a second chance to use what is an updated version of that car in the AMR21, with securing third behind Mercedes and Red Bull very much the goal.
