Sky Racing Team VR46 rider Francesco Bagnaia will be moving into the premier class in 2019, with the young Italian set to step up with Alma Pramac Racing. Bagnaia has signed for two seasons, and is contracted directly to Ducati.
The VR46 Academy member took the 2017 Rookie of the Year title in Moto2 and has continued to impress in the intermediate class in preseason testing.
A three-time GP winner in Moto3, Bagnaia first appeared on the world stage in 2013, after also proving a race winner in the FIM CEV Repsol.
The Italian will be back on track soon to continue his intermediate class campaign in testing, with the final preseason test set for Jerez on the 6th March.
