Honda Factory rider Dani Pedrosa took a solid second place last time out at Brno - his 150th podium - and closed down some points on all his major Championship rivals bar teammate Marc Marquez. 31 behind Marquez as Round 11 fires up, it's all still to play for.

Having only ridden once in Austria and finding it a tough venue for the team last season, Pedrosa feels more optimistic this year after a useful Brno test that gave man and machine some good bases to build on. The focus, as well as points, is keeping the momentum after such a good restart to the season in the Czech GP.

"The Red Bull Ring is pretty much a new circuit, as we have only raced there once and we don’t have much experience with the track." Said the Spaniard

"Last year we struggled to find a good setup, but we’re looking forward to a better result this time. We had a good test on Monday in Brno after the race"

"So in Austria we’ll begin on Friday with a setup we know is working for us and then we’ll try to build on that, with a clear plan for every session." He added

"Again, the weather may be something to take into account so we must be ready for all conditions and focus on maintaining this good momentum."
