Formula 1 has announced new session times both on Friday and Saturday for this weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The changes come to avoid a clash with the funeral of HRH Prince Philip, who died last week aged 99, and will see qualifying start an hour earlier than originally planned at 2pm CET (1pm UK time).
This means all three practice sessions have also been shifted back by an hour to meet the regulations which stipulate a minimum time gap between FP1 and FP2 and then FP2 to FP3 on Saturday.
Ahead of qualifying, a minute’s silence will also be held to pay respect to the Duke of Edinburgh.
