Kevin Magnussen has dropped to P10 after both Haas drivers were given 10-second penalties for radio messages on the formation lap.

With the track drying at the start after earlier rain, the Dane and teammate Romain Grosjean were called into the pits on the formation lap to change to slick tyres.

This decision proved inspired as the Haas drivers ran third and fourth when the rest of the grid had stopped.

Ultimately, grip problems would see Grosjean drop back to 15th by the end, but Magnussen was able to hang on in the points in ninth.

However, because the drivers were instructed to pit by their engineers, this was ruled a breach of Article 27.1, which states a driver must drive "alone and unaided", and awarded a 10-second penalty each.

Thankfully for Magnussen, he only loses one place to P10, meaning he scores Haas' first point of the season, while Grosjean also lost one place to P16.
