Red Bull did commit a minor breach of Formula 1's budget cap in 2021, the FIA revealed on Monday.

Following several delays, the governing body finally announced its conclusions after months of analysing financial data from all 10 teams.

Eight were found to be in complete compliance, while Red Bull and Aston Martin were found to have made procedural breaches of the regulations.

However, only Red Bull has been found to have broken the $145m cap that was in place, committing a minor overspend of less than five percent.

This means the team is now at risk of sanctions ranging from a fine to minor sporting penalties and "the FIA Cost Cap Administration is currently determining the appropriate course of action to be taken under the Financial Regulations".

More to follow.
