Robert Kubica bemoaned a lack of "feeling" in the Williams during another difficult qualifying at the Spanish Grand Prix.
The Polish driver finished 1.2s behind teammate George Russell as he finished bottom of the timesheet and continued his losing streak this season.
And on a weekend where the Briton finished only 0.6s off the cut-off time to make Q2, Kubica was at a loss over the car's performance.
“It’s strange. I started the weekend with a positive feeling in FP1, and then this feeling completely disappeared session by session," he claimed.
“I just have no feeling in the car, struggled to commit to the corners. Still struggling with oversteer, especially the last run where the track was getting better.
“The run before I lost quite a lot of lap time in the last sector due to one Ferrari which was opening the lap.
“The last set of tyres was very strange. I had massive oversteer and I wasn’t expecting it.”

Contrast that to Russell, who overcame two spins, the first into the barrier in final practice, to still record the respectable result.
“It [qualifying] was alright, considering the circumstances,” he said.
“Thank you to the guys for getting my car ready after my error in free practice. I then went for another spin at the start [of qualifying] when Antonio Giovinazzi got in my way.
“So, I didn’t really know what to think going into my last lap.”
The only slight blip is last year's F2 champion does start behind Kubica after a five-place penalty for a gearbox change following his practice crash.
