Ferrari have struck a bullish tone ahead of the review into Sebastian Vettel's controversial penalty at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Officials from the Italian team are meeting with the same stewards from the race in Montreal at the time of writing on Friday at Circuit Paul Ricard to put forward their case.
And speaking before the review process began, Ferrari sporting director Laurent Mekies was optimistic in their chances of overturning the race-deciding incident.
"I think the first thing that I would like to underline is that we very much respect the work of the stewards," he was quoted by GPFans.com.
"We know that it's a very, very difficult job to take. It's a complex world, complex races, and therefore we are fully supportive of what they are trying to achieve.

"In the aftermath of the Grand Prix of Canada, we had access to a lot of new evidence," he continued.
"We looked at them, and for these reasons, we have requested the FIA's right of review because we believe this evidence is quite overwhelming when it comes to establishing that Sebastian did not breach any regulations.
"I think going any further would be inappropriate because the hearing is this afternoon, so we'll let it to the stewards."
On Thursday, several drivers and team bosses sided with Vettel over the Turn 3/4 incident with Lewis Hamilton, where the German was judged to have unsafely re-entered the track after running wide across the grass.
It is not known at this point how long the review process will take.
