Max Verstappen's future now seems firmly planted at Red Bull after his victory at the Austrian Grand Prix.
The weekend in Spielberg saw back and forth comments about the Dutchman, who initially pledged his future to the team only for advisor Helmut Marko to confirm he has a contract release clause.
Based on the rumours though, that might have changed with one stipulation reported being the clause would have been triggered without a win before Hungary and now, of course, that is no longer the case.
“I think this is very important for us and also for the future, for Honda as well,” Verstappen said post-race.
“It just gives us a lot of confidence as well to the boys and maybe a few doubts are going away because of it.
“At the moment it’s an amazing feeling.”

Red Bull boss Christian Horner also hailed the resolve shown by the 21-year-old as he recovered from losing five places at the start to win.
“What a drive. After the start, when he got the anti-stall, I thought that maybe we could get a podium, but the way he came back and came through the field and managed the tyres was unbelievable,” he stated.
“He drove with such maturity to pass Vettel and Bottas and then pull in the gap to Leclerc. The benefit of the DRS with three or four laps to go you started to feel like this could happen here at home in Austria.”
Asked by Reuters if Sunday's drive was evidence that Verstappen is the best driver on the grid, Horner simply responded: “I have thought that for a little while.”
