Lando Norris has rectified comments he made this week comparing the physicality of Formula 1 vs. Formula 2.

The Briton was explaining how he had felt more comfortable since stepping up with McLaren for this season after racing in the junior category last season.

He also explained how, being one of the smaller drivers, he found F1 cars easier to drive, but, speaking earlier this weekend, that didn't mean the challenge of F2 as a whole was more demanding.

“Physically on the arms F2 is much hard because there is no power steering," he said.

“But on the total body F1 is more difficult because of the endurance, the Gs you pull, also on the neck, the core, everything, your body takes much more of a toll.

“In terms of the arm strength, F2 is much more difficult than F1, but all together F1 is still harder than F2."

So far at the German Grand Prix, Norris has had a difficult weekend qualifying only 16th.
