Envision Virgin Racing’s Robin Frijns was the fastest in the second Practice session of the day in Hong Kong, setting a lap time in the wet of 1:09.221s followed by Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams) in second with a time of 1:09.478s and DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer in third (1:09.499s).
More rain in between the first and second session brought more action to Hong Kong’s Harbourfront as once again the drivers fought to keep the cars on track. Venturi’s Edoardo Mortara ground to a halt on track due to a technical issue, just a few minutes into the session, with Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans following suit not long after.
With more rain forecast, the landmark 50th race in Formula E history could well be the first wet one. Stay tuned for all the latest from Qualifying up next.
