Marc Marquez just missed out on stealing the headlines at the Brno test when Valentino Rossi took over at the top in the final minutes, but the rider from Cervera was only 0.018 behind his great Italian rival and was happy with the day’s work.
Putting in 67 laps with a best of 1:55.180, Marquez concentrated on getting ready for the Austrian GP, which could be a more difficult track for the Championship leader.
“I’m really happy with how the day went in general. It was good from the start, the temperature was good and the track had a lot of grip.” Said Marquez
“The laps came easily and it was easy to get into a rhythm – great conditions to be testing in. We tried to find a setup for Austria.”
“I think we have an idea, we want to get better in accelerating and have less wheelie.” He added “But then we also have to take into account braking stability. Other than that we also tested some things with the electronics, and the front tyre.”
