Much like his brother, Alex Marquez had a weekend to forget at Silverstone. While leading, the Spaniard suffered a small lowside which crushed his chances, but he remounted and still finished in the points (albeit, not many). So Marquez is out to make amends in Misano, and that’s what he did in FP1. Although he suffered a huge highside which saw him being stretchered off to the medical centre, he still finished the session on top, two tenths clear of his team mate Franco Morbidelli and Dominique Aegerter.
There were a number of crashes during the session, including Lorenzo Baldassari, Jorge Navarro and Xavi Vierge.
