Fabio Di Giannantonio topped the time sheets of Moto3 FP2 ahead of Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini.

It was almost impossible to keep up with who was where, especially as we entered the closing minutes of the session and everyone was eager to push for the fastest lap. Di Giannantonio was the first to set a 1:42, but others soon followed suit.

Jorge Martin was back out for a dry FP2 and led the session for a short time. At the flag he finished in second, which is solid considering the injury he is returning from. Bastianini seems to be getting to grips with the Estrella Galicia machine after struggling to make the top fifteen throughout the first half of the season. A third in FP2 is sure to boost his confidence heading into qualifying tomorrow.

John McPhee didn’t have the most ideal session, ending FP2 in 18th place. It is reported that he suffered a training accident in the week, where his bicycle was clipped by a car. Fortunately for McPhee there was no serious injury, however he is reportedly suffering with some slight pain.

Turn ten caught out Lorenzo Dalla Porta, who became tangled up with championship leader Joan Mir. Mir was lucky enough to avoid toppling into the gravel, but Dalla Porta was not so lucky. Juanfran Guevara was also caught out at turn ten with eleven minutes to go, but fortunately he got up unhurt.

Other crashes included Bo Bendsneyder at turn four and Manuel Pagliani at turn six. Both riders are okay.
