As FP3 got underway at a misty MotorLand, riders were lapping in the 2:01s, but visibility seemed to be no problem.
Eventually, the riders got into a rhythm, and Jorge Martin toppped the time sheets from John McPhee, who put in a last ditch attempt to get to the top. Championship leader Joan Mir finished the session in third. There were a couple of high profile crashes, including Aron Canet, who was spat off into the gravel from a nasty highside and Philipp Oettl also suffered a nasty crash. Both riders were okay, but taken to the medical centre.
Another impressive run from Dennis Foggia on the Sky VR46 Junior Academy bike. At his first GP, he’s put in a range of fantastic laps and could well be a front runner come race day. Romano Fenati finished the session in eleventh, after running out of fuel.
