On the first and only FP session on the Barcelona Circuit, on a warm and sunny morning, it is Grègoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) to set the best lap time (1:41.288).

The Swiss was followed by the French Hadrien David (R-ace GP) with 1:41.342 and the Finn Patrick Pasma (KIC Motorsport – 1:41.708). Among the Rookies the first is the Swedish Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam), stopping the watch at 1:41.816, and sixth overall.

Once more 3 different teams in the first 3 positions indicate the very high competitiveness of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, and the very balanced performance of the cars of different teams.

A good 23rd position by the home female driver Belèn Garcia (G4 Racing), who had not tested in Imola, but indeed had her test session here in Barcelona, showing immediately a good improvement in performance.

The session has been stopped with no restart at 4 minutes to the end due to Lèna Buhler going out on the gravel and hitting the wall at turn 4.
