Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) pipped Adam Noroddin (SIC Racing Team) to the top spot in the closing minutes of FP2.
The session started on a drying track, and towards the end riders were able to come out on slick tyres. It did begin to rain once more towards the end of the session, leaving us clueless on how the weather will hold up for MotoGP FP2.
Enea Bastianini (Estrella Galicia 0,0) is having a much more confident weekend than he has done in the past. Bastianini seems to have struggled to get to grips with the machinery he is on this year, but it looks like his luck may finally be changing as we head into this weekend. He rounded out the top three in FP2, after finishing fourth in FP1.
A special mention should surely be given to Maria Herrera (AGR Team). She finished the session in seventh, but did sit in the top three for a while. Maria is proving to have practice pace – she constantly has positive practice sessions and sets some fast time. Unfortunately, she doesn’t manage to translate it into race pace, which is important if she wants to secure a ride for next year.
‘Mr Pole’ Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) will be siting out this weekend due to injury.
