Gabriele Minì was the fastest of the day on the city track of Monaco after having set the time of 1m30.585s in the practice session of the Formula Regional European Championship.
The Italian proved to be the only driver capable of breaking the 1m 31s barrier and heads into the weekend full of confidence after winning the previous race at Imola. Dutchman Kas Haverkort was second quickest for Van Amersfoort Racing, six tenths of a second away from Minì’s best, and 0.072s ahead of ART Grand Prix’s Laurens Van Hoepen, who continues to show a good pace in the series.
Paul Aron was the fastest of the Prema Racing drivers this time around, but only just as he out-paced teammate and provisional leader of the championship Dino Beganovic by just 0.499s to claim fourth.
The streets of Monaco welcomed the good performances of other four rookies who completed the top 10: Victor Bernier (FA Racing), Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident Motorsport), Sebastian Montoya (Prema Racing), and Roman Bilinski (Trident Motorsport), who finished the session tenth behind Michael Belov (MP Motorsport).
