The Prema Racing‘s Estonian driver set the fastest time of 1:47.788s on wet track in the Group A session, only 0.029 ahead of teammate Dino Beganovic.
The Swede continued his fine run of form from yesterday, where he scored the first victory of the season.
Team ART Grand Prix topped the Group B, as Gabriele Minì secured the first row of the grid for this afternoon’s race two in 1:49.772s. The Italian was 0.270s faster than Spaniard Mari Boya.
After leading the Rookie class in race one, Sebastian Montoya (Prema Racing) will start from the third row alongside Dutchman Kas Haverkoort (Van Amersfoort Racing). Colombian driver shadowed Hadrien David. R-ace GP Frenchman will share the fourth row of the grid with Trident Motorsport‘s newcomer Tim Tramnitz.
Both sessions were red-flagged. The first due to Dilano Van’t Hoff crash, while Group A was stopped after Esteban Masson parked his car along the track.
