It was pouring with rain during yesterday's FP1, but today was a different story. As the sun beat down over Brno, the Moto3 grid headed out into somewhat of a 'crash fest'.

Last year's Brno Moto3 winner John McPhee (British Talent Team) was the first to go down, but Nicolo Bulega's (Sky Racing Team VR46) crash was the talk of the paddock. As he entered turn ten, the bike spat him off into the air sending him flying into the gravel. He spent a lot of the session in the medical centre, but surprisingly came out on top ahead of Philipp Oettl (Südmetall Schedl GP Racing) who also suffered an off this morning and Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0).

Other crashes from Albert Arenas, Ayumu Sasaki, Andrea Migno and Niccolo Antonelli. The riders were complaining of no grip on track.

Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) took to the top in FP2 as conditions improved and the track dried out. Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) had a fantastic outing to end the session in second, shaving almost ten seconds off his time this morning. Danilo Petrucci (OCTO Pramac Racing) took his Ducati to third place.

Honda were off the expected pace considering they came into Brno with a huge advantage. Dani Pedrosa ended the session in seventh and Marc Marquez in in tenth. The Movistar Yamaha duo of Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi clearly struggled too, finishing in eleventh and fourteenth.

It was really Ducati who stole the show, as they revealed their new aero fairing, which was used by Jorge Lorenzo. It didn't do much for his times, as he still ended the session in fifteenth. A picture of the questionable looking fairing can be found on Ducati Motor's Twitter.

Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) ended today's proceedings on top in FP2. He fought hard to stay there, coming under pressure from Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Xavi Vierge (Tech 3 Racing). He ended the session just .2 seconds ahead of Bagnaia in a close session, where the top fourteen were covered by just under a second. Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo), who led FP1 finished in fourth while Sandro Cortese (Dynavolt Intact GP) rounded out the top five.

Championship leader Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) finished in sixth after his crash this morning.

Championship leader Joan Mir (Leopard Racing) led the way in FP2, after stealing the top spot in the closing minutes. Tim Georgi (Freudenberg Racing Team) sat in the top spot for the majority of the session with a one and a half second lead, despite a crash early on in the session.

But in the final minutes, Mir, Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0), Adam Norrodin (SIC Racing Team), Andrea Migno (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Manuel Pagliani (CIP) jumped in front of Georgi, leaving him in sixth overall.

Even though the rain had physically stopped, the track was still wet. A drying line seemed to be appearing towards the end of the session.
